Kundalini Yoga on the Beach
Aug 8, 2016
Join Guest Teacher from Boston, Viriam Kaur for a community class!
Please bring a towel to practice on since the sand tends to stick to yoga mats and is difficult to clean off afterward. Also, if you have a meditation cushion to sit on, you can bring that with you as well. Allow for an hour and a half and leave extra time for getting settled. I also recommend bringing a bottle of water with you to drink during or after class.
Kundalini Yoga is known as the Yoga of Awareness, and is also considered the Mother of all yogas. Kundalini refers to the energy of your creative potential, which sits at the base of the spine and raises upward through the energy centers (known as chakras) when activated. The powerful technology of Kundalini Yoga combines pranayama (breath exercises), with mantras (sound vibrations), mudras (precise hand positions), asanas (body positions), bhandas (body locks), drishti (eye focus), and meditation in one complete practice. Through this practice, you will connect your finite self to your Infinite Self!
The suggested donation for class is $15. Please bring cash with you.
Hope to see you there!
